Roulette Table

When you want to play a game, you should know what equipment you will be needing and what you will be using to play the game, or at least I think that would be a good start. You don't have to worry too much about bringing anything with you when you want to play roulette, other than yourself and a willingness to have a great time. I guess the latter of the two are more up to you, but you will enjoy the game a lot more if you are wanting too (personal opinion). Other than that you have to learn the roulette table and the roulette wheel. I will be covering both of these, but will cover the roulette wheel on another page. I recommend you read both.

Ok, so if you are ready, the first thing you are going to notice is that the roulette table is all red and black except for two out of place green numbers, 0 and 00. These are only found on an American Roulette table and increase the house advantage by decrease the odds of red or black hitting every spin. The numbers go from zero all the way up to thirty-six.

If you look at the roulette table you will also notice it is setup to accommodate several different bets giving the player more variety and risk. Obviously the higher the risk the higher the reward, such is the case in all casino games.

Some of the more played bets are the Red/Black bet, which is betting on just black or red. Your odds are just under 50 % here because of those two green zeros (don't ever forget the effects of those two little guys). Another similar bet to this is an odd even bet, this too excludes the zeros on the board. You should be now that those little green zeros are not always your friend. Actually a lot of people prefer a European style game because it only has one zero, thus decreasing the house advantage.

You will notice the table is split into to separate sections, these are called inside and outside bets. What I have been explaining to you so far are outside bets. So, obviously you are asking yourself, what are inside bets. Well inside bets are more adventures, I say this because they have fewer odds, or most of the do, and for that little sense of adventure you will get rewarded if you happen to win. All of the numbers can be bet on and if you chose the right number on the right spin you will be paid thirty-five to one. What this means is, you will be paid back your money, plus you will get thirty-five times more your original bet. Not a bad haul if you ask this guy.

Just so you know and are still unsure of whether you are ready for the game, I had never heard or read anything about roulette when I first started to play and I picked the game up within a matter of minutes. You too will develop a strategy and playing style after time, so all that you have to do is just try it. You know the basics now and with some practice you will become a pro.
