What do you think? Do you think that you should know what you are getting yourself into before you jump into something? If you do then you are definitely at the right place to cover all your bases. On this specific page I will cover the roulette odds and hopefully increase yours.

The best part about roulette is the options that you're given. Maybe you have already read the difference between outside and inside bets, but if you haven't then read on and can it check it out here.

One thing about outside bets is that they are less risky, but they also pay less. The nice thing about it is that they are easy to understand. The roulette odds are definitely more in your favor when playing this outside style. The roulette odds will range from just under fifty percent to just under thirty-three percent. I personally recommend these for first time players because of the ease to understand them.

The first bet I will discuss here, is the red/black bet. The odds are slightly under fifty percent because of the two green zeros that you will find on the wheel. All there is to this bet is placing your money on Red or Black, then just sit back and watch the ball spin and bounce around the wheel and hopefully the ball will fall on your chosen color.

Another outside bet would be betting on a range of numbers. You can do this by betting on the first, second or third set of numbers. This means 1-12, 13-24 and so on. You can figure out the rough roulette odds by doing some simple math. If you are betting on a third of the numbers then your odds are about thirty-three percent, right? Well they are close, but are actually a little less than that because of those two little green zeros.

There are a couple more roulette odds on the outside of the table and they include odd/even and another ratio of numbers, 1-18 and 19-36. Other than that you have to move onto the inside bets if you want to learn more.

Inside bets are a little more advanced, but not out of your league if you are willing to sit and read for just a few minutes. Inside bets are a little more risky, but offer better payouts as a result of their risk. The simplest one is placing your bet on a single number; this pays thirty-five to one.

Another bet would be a corner bet (placing your bet on the corner of four numbers, or in some cases three), and again you can figure out roughly what the odds on this would be by doing some simple math. All you have to do is take the total number of numbers on the wheel and divide it into the four. So you would come up with eleven percent, but again remember the zeros. One thing that I would like to mention is that payouts and odds are two different things. Sometimes people can get confused with the two and to be honest I sometimes interchange them. The payout for this particular bet would be ¼ of what you would be paid if you hit a single number so 8/1, the casino always rounds down incase you didn't already guess that.

Regardless of what you like to do with your betting strategy, roulette odds are never in your favor, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun playing it. I hope no one is ignorant enough to think that they ever have an edge on the casino because that is just silly. Why would they put themselves in that situation? Casino's have spent year's fine tuning their games/operations and will never intentionally put their selves into a losing situation. In final I would like to say that, roulette is a great game and you can have a great time playing it with some basic understanding and positive attitude.
